First Assistant Golf Professional at The Quarry Golf Club Inc – Naples, Florida

The Quarry Golf Course was designed by the world-renowned architectural team of Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry in 2007. Offering an exceptional golf experience with spectacular views, this Par 72 championship course is a true test for golfers of all levels. The Quarry played host to the PGA Champions Tour ACE Group Classic in 2010 and 2011. Golf Hall of Famers Fred Couples and Bernhard Langer captured the Champions Trophy.

The Quarry is looking for a determined individual that is looking to join our Professional team. This individual will have the opportunity to learn and grow around the business of golf.

Essential Responsibilities

· Oversee all aspects of member and guest golf tournaments.

· Run demo days with the various reps. Have knowledge of the products.

· Assists in instructing, merchandising, on-course, cart and personnel management responsibilities.

· Skills in public speaking and presentation.

· Skills in managing multiple priorities in a multi-functional work environment.

· Assist in the supervision of golf personnel, which includes the golf shop, outside operations, starter and ranger positions.

· Ensure the “pace of play” standard is maintained daily

· Answer telephones, schedules for future starting times, takes reservations for all golf related activities

· Assists Members by providing and interpreting policies, rules and regulations

· Assists with other operational and administrative duties as determined by the Head Golf Professional.

· Operates opening and closing procedures.

· Provides golf lessons for members and guests

· Assists with the sales, marketing and membership relations programs to promote the club's services and facilities to member prospects and current members and guests.

· Continue to maintain and pursue higher education through the PGA and other sources

Experience Required

· 3+ years of golf industry experience preferred

· PGA Member or Apprentice preferred

· Exceptional organization skills and able to work in fast paced environment all at high efficiency and productivity

· Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

· Experience with Jonas Point of Sale, ForeTees Tee Time Software, Golf Genius Tournament Management, GHIN Handicap Service, MembersFirst, and Eventpro360 are preferred but all can be taught.
