About This Position
The Manager, FP&A will serve as a strategic partner to the business, driving financial visibility, operational excellence, and insight-driven decision-making. This role will lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes while supporting the VP of FP&A in delivering timely financial intelligence to executive leadership.
About the Finance TeamThe finance team plays a critical role in FiscalNote’s Finance organization by providing actionable financial insights that guide strategic decisions. The team partners with business leaders across functions to optimize performance, support growth initiatives, and maintain best-in-class financial processes and systems. - Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and multi-year financial models to support company growth objectives.
- Perform in-depth financial analysis, including margin analysis, OpEx/CapEx tracking, and KPI reporting.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and Board review materials, translating financial data into clear business insights.
- Serve as the primary finance liaison for business leaders, providing monthly budget vs. actual reporting and actionable recommendations.
- Support FP&A initiatives related to acquisitions, pricing strategy, ROI analysis, and other ad hoc corporate projects.
- Continuously optimize FP&A systems, processes, and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy (Workday Adaptive Planning experience preferred).
- Collaborate closely with the VP of FP&A and senior leadership on strategic planning, performance monitoring, and operational finance initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
- 5–7+ years of progressive FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Investment Banking experience.
- Hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, including model building, reporting, and scenario analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot Tables, complex logic) and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Proven ability to lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for complex organizations.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- (Preferred) Experience supporting earnings calls, investor reporting, and strategic initiatives for SaaS or technology businesses.
