This is a senior individual contributor role at the intersection of security research, product innovation, and large-scale endpoint protection. You will help define how modern endpoint security posture is measured, improved, and operationalized across millions of devices worldwide. Working closely with product and engineering teams, you will translate deep vulnerability and OS-level research into scalable security capabilities. The role combines hands-on technical investigation with strategic product influence, shaping how threat exposure is reduced across diverse environments. You will operate in a fast-moving, mission-driven security organization with a strong focus on real-world impact. This position is ideal for a researcher who thrives on solving complex system-level security challenges at scale.
You will lead the research and definition of next-generation endpoint security capabilities, focusing on improving vulnerability management, posture assessment, and automated remediation at scale.
- Define and evolve endpoint security posture strategies by combining vulnerability intelligence, OS-level research, and real-world attack insights.
- Translate CVE analysis, vulnerability research, and reverse engineering findings into actionable product and engineering requirements.
- Design and improve security posture baselines that reduce risk exposure across millions of endpoints and diverse customer environments.
- Research and develop automation opportunities for vulnerability management, patching, and remediation workflows.
- Build and evaluate scanning and telemetry infrastructure to measure endpoint health, security gaps, and attack surface exposure.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Security, Product, and Engineering teams to integrate research outcomes into production systems.
- Communicate findings through technical documentation, executive updates, and external thought leadership content.
You bring deep expertise in endpoint security, vulnerability research, and security engineering, along with the ability to turn complex findings into scalable product solutions.
- Extensive experience in endpoint security, vulnerability management, or security research roles in complex production environments.
- Strong background in OS-level security concepts, configuration management, and attack surface reduction techniques.
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability analysis, CVE research, reverse engineering, and security assessment methodologies.
- Proven ability to design or influence security tools, scanning systems, or large-scale detection and remediation frameworks.
- Experience leveraging AI or automation to enhance security research, detection, or remediation workflows.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Go, with experience building security-focused tooling.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical research into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced, product-driven security organizations.
