About This Position

Job Title: Electrician

Job Summary:The Electrician is responsible for performing electrical work and supporting related tasks as directed. This role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Safety Responsibilities:

Follow and promote all company and OSHA safety standardsEnsure safe work practices are consistently maintainedEssential Duties and Responsibilities:

Determine material needs and communicate requests to the supervisorProvide technical assistance as neededRead and interpret basic blueprints and wiring diagramsPerform electrical work as assignedSet up, operate, and assist in troubleshooting electrical equipmentComplete equipment hook-ups and installations under directionSupport the Craft Manager with scheduling, planning, and workload evaluation as neededComply with the Company’s Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment PolicyPerform other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities:

NoneQualifications:To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of electrical experienceHigh School Diploma or GED requiredSkills and Abilities:

Communication:

Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and othersLanguage:

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, schedules, and regulationsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceMathematical Skills:

Basic math skills including percentages, measurements, and calculationsUnderstanding of basic algebra and geometryReasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and work with limited standardizationAbility to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructionsCertifications/Licenses:

None requiredPhysical Demands:

Ability to work throughout vessels, piers, docks, and shipyard environmentsRegularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawlFrequent use of hands and arms for handling equipmentAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsVision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perceptionMay be required to operate a high-reach lift after trainingWork Environment:
