Faculty Position – BE/BC Pediatric Critical Care Intensivist

BayCare Health System's Saint Joseph Children's Hospital (SJCH) in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Critical Care Physician to work in our Medical/Surgical Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This state-of-the-art, 16-bed unit is staffed by a dedicated team of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers who deliver high-quality care to critically ill children from infancy through adolescence. Job responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, collaborating with clinical leadership and the rest of the Children's Critical Care medicine team to provide clinical care in the Children's ICU at Saint Joseph Children's Hospital. The Candidate will also actively participate in the education of fellows, residents, and students.

Minimum objective qualifications; other desirable qualifications:

The selected Candidate must have an MD or DO and be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine by a US accreditation board. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. The Candidate should exhibit a strong commitment to educating the next generation of clinicians, advancing the field of pediatric critical care medicine through research, and advancing the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the health sciences. We are seeking a Candidate who is board certified or board eligible Pediatric Intensivist for competitive compensation commensurate with level of experience.

About the Department:

The Pediatric Critical Care Physician will be full-time in Tampa, report to the local unit Director, and be hired by the collaborating UPMC Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh, UPMC (CHP). The Candidate must meet the standard qualifications for hire by CHP/University of Pittsburgh Physicians. The CHP Pediatric Critical Care Division's clinical and administrative resources are available as part of the collaboration between CHP and SJCH.
