Material Handler II at BrandSafway – Dickinson, Texas

We're seeking a Material Handler II responsible for overseeing the receipt and accurate storage of materials, inventory management, material distribution to shop and inspection of the materials. They would also be responsible for all domestic and international shipments. The successful candidate must have strong technical skills to use our Inventory Management Software or to manage their work, the materials and job travelers. In addition, will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment including inventory management, logistics experience, work order development and experience using an ERP/MRP in daily work.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and or release incoming/outgoing materials

Inspects incoming material to ensure it meets order quantity & specs and moves to assigned warehouse location

Pulls material for Shop Assemblers to cut according to Job Traveler specs

Release purchase orders to the vendors.

Conducts stockroom inventory

Manages the stockroom, sets up bin locations for all material with labels and maintains locations on Inventory Management Software

Prepares shipping paperwork and arranges truck lines to pick up customer orders

Takes pictures of outgoing shipments and puts those and copies of BOLs in proper shared folder

Knowledge of Safety Programs and warehouse equipment

Perform material issues in Epicor/ Inventory Management Software

Performs weekly cycle counts

Creates various reports when needed on Excel Sheets

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

2 plus years in manufacturing/inventory control role preferred

Forklift certified

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Teams

Excellent attention to detail and good time management skills

Experience using EPICOR or other ERP/MRP system is required

Good communication skills, both verbal and written
