Join us in building the future of construction automation and help shape the next generation of robotics in the field.
The Role
We are looking for a Construction Technology Field Specialist to support customer onboarding, project setup, training, and on-site technical support.
This role is ideal for someone with a construction, surveying, or geospatial background who enjoys working outdoors, solving real-world problems, and interacting directly with customers. You’ll serve as the bridge between our robotics technology and live construction projects.
Beyond deployment and training, this role will also own the initial customer experience during the first 60 days after deployment, ensuring customers are successful with the system, resolving issues quickly, and helping build strong long-term relationships.
You’ll ensure our robots are set up correctly, calibrated accurately, and delivering value on every site.
What You’ll Do
- Deploy and set up Civ Robotics systems on customer job sites
- Perform project setup, calibration, localization, and system validation
- Train customers, operators, and field teams on proper system use
- Lead live demos for prospective customers alongside the Sales team
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and GNSS-related issues in the field
- Support site-level diagnostics to maintain accuracy and performance
- Serve as the primary customer point of contact during the first 60 days after deployment, ensuring successful onboarding and system adoption
- Proactively check in with customers during the rollout period to ensure satisfaction and resolve operational issues
- Work closely with Engineering and Product to communicate field feedback
- Document deployments, training sessions, troubleshooting activities, and customer interactions
- Help standardize and improve onboarding and training processes as we scale
What We’re Looking For
- At least 2 years background in construction, civil engineering, surveying, or geospatial technology
- Experience working on active construction job sites
- Familiarity with GNSS/GPS, RTK, total stations, or layout equipment, including setting up base stations and performing calibration
- Strong hands-on technical troubleshooting skills (hardware + software)
- Comfortable training operators and working directly with customers
- Clear communicator who can explain technical systems simply
- Prior customer-facing technical role (Field Engineer, Applications Engineer, Support Engineer, etc.)
- Willingness to travel 25–50% within the U.S. and internationally
Nice to Have
- Experience with machine control, layout automation, or surveying equipment
- Experience supporting hardware and software systems in live field environments
- Basic understanding of construction workflows (staking, layout, grading, as-builts)
Why Join Civ?
- Work at the forefront of real-world robotics deployment
- Direct impact on major infrastructure and renewable energy projects
- Tight collaboration with engineering and sales teams
- Fast-growing company with robots already deployed worldwide
- High ownership and opportunity to shape how we scale field operations
