Product Owner (including Business Analysis responsibilities)
The Product Owner is responsible for translating product strategy and high-level requirements into a structured, prioritised, and deliverable product backlog. This role bridges business and technical teams to ensure that product development delivers maximum value aligned to organisational objectives.
The postholder will gather and analyse feature requests, define scope, coordinate sprints, and manage releases. Success in this role requires strong analytical capability, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to balance technical feasibility with business priorities.
Key Objectives
Translate product management vision into detailed, actionable user stories.
Own and prioritise the product backlog to maximise business value.
Ensure both technical and business perspectives are fully considered in delivery decisions.
Support the Agile development lifecycle from discovery through to release.
Act as the primary product contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Work with stakeholders to define product requirements and priorities.
Own and maintain a wellstructured, valuedriven backlog and product roadmap.
Create clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and support UAT.
Participate in Scrum ceremonies and coordinate sprint and release activities.
Provide business context to the development team and support problemsolving.
Act as the main product contact, resolve issues, and evaluate solution options.
Ensure alignment with the wider Product Team and maintain the product knowledge base.
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar.
Strong planning, communication, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
Ability to explain complex topics and manage multiple tasks.
Selfdriven, detailoriented, and experienced in Agile/Scrum environments.
Able to work under pressure and committed to excellent customer service.
