"The Dispatch Supervisor serves as the linchpin of our logistics operation, ensuring every delivery departing our facility meets the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency." You will be pivotal to the greater operational success, overseeing the end-to-end coordination of outbound logistics to guarantee 100% order integrity and delivery precision."
Responsibilities include:
- Creating the schedule for the team on a rotating basis to ensure quality coverage at all times
- Collaborating with delivery leadership to ensure the department is atop of changes
- Route monitoring to ensure driver safety & delivering team metrics
- Coordinate, Route, schedule deliveries, assemble orders, and facilitate payment processing
- Create transportation manifests and other required records for patient deliveries
- Answer Calls with a cheerful, positive attitude pertaining to Dispatch order’s or Courier Drivers having issues or needing assistance on their routes.
- Maintain an on-going knowledge of company products and current state laws regarding medical cannabis and delivery regulations.
- Monitor routing software and communicate effectively with drivers throughout the day. You’ll be the point of contact if they need assistance while out on a delivery route.
- Responsible for making sure all rostered drivers have a route in the system and in the right delivery area to ensure route completion in a timely and safe manner. You must have the necessary skills and knowledge to make route changes and assignments in the routing software. Training will be provided - judgment is key.
- Oversee and manage the returns process following each delivery route to check-in all undelivered orders and cash payments
- Managing the performance of the dispatch team
- Route monitoring to ensure driver safety & delivering team metrics
Qualifications:
- 2-4+ years of management experience, preferred
- 3+ years of dispatch experience, preferred
- 2 + years customer service experience
- Zendesk experience, preferred
- Valid Driver's License, and a great driving record
- Must pass all required pre-employment/post-offer background checks
- Age 21 or over, per state requirement
- Superior communication skills are paramount - written and verbal
- Strong computer skills, must be comfortable working with new software/applications
- Experience working with smartphone applications
- Experience with data organization, routing, Microsoft, and Google products
- Good teamwork mentality: able to build trustworthy and supportive working relationships
- Experience in the transportation/dispatch industry
- Strong logical thinking, analytical skills, and problem solving skills
- Flexibility and ability to adjust to a start-up environment that is fast-paced and constantly changing
- Must be reliable and dependable at all times
- Experience dispatching drivers and using routing drivers, preferably with routing while creating route efficiency
- Handle in-bound calls from drivers and/or customers
- Handling Internal tickets
- Ability to be adaptable to change
- Ability to work well with others
- Data driven, highly organized
- Great communication skills and the ability to surface concerns, successes, and ideas to leaders
- Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes
- Must be able to work well under pressure
Benefits:
- Paid time off (PTO)
- 2 weeks accrued annually during the first two years of employment
- 3 weeks accrued annually after two years of continuous employment
