Remote Associate General Counsel
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Associate General Counsel. This role serves as a critical legal advisor, guiding senior management and business leaders in navigating the complex legal landscape. The successful candidate will coordinate global legal resources, ensuring compliance and governance while supporting strategic initiatives. With a strong focus on corporate transactions and regulatory matters, this position is pivotal in safeguarding the company's reputation and driving its long-term goals.
Accountabilities- Support and manage the company's Legal and Compliance functions to meet business objectives.
- Advise on legal and corporate governance issues.
- Assist the CLO in Corporate Secretary functions, including meeting coordination and recordkeeping.
- Lead the in-house legal team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Manage corporate transactions and negotiate contracts across departments.
- Oversee the company's compliance program and conduct training.
- Handle litigation management and advise on outside counsel.
- Protect the companys reputation and provide global legal support.
- Assist with M&A transactions and provide regulatory guidance.
- Coordinate internal investigations related to policy violations.
- Advise on diverse legal matters, including international and intellectual property issues.
- J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed to practice law in a U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of five years of corporate or transactional legal experience, including in-house experience.
- Expertise in complex corporate transactions, with M&A experience preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory matters and corporate governance.
- Experience with litigation management and compliance issues.
