Your Role: The Financial ArchitectYou are the guardian of our financial records. From managing the month-end close to preparing key reports for leadership, your work ensures we have the clarity and control needed to continue growing responsibly. Your Role: The Financial ArchitectYou are the guardian of our financial records. What You'll AccomplishMonth-End Close Management
- Drive the Process: Be a key player in the month-end close, preparing critical journal entries for revenue, payroll, and accrued expenses.
- Master Reconciliation: Expertly handle bank reconciliations and reconcile complex accounts like restricted cash, debt service, and security deposits.
- Ensure Accuracy: Review accounts payable and expenditures for proper classification and approve company expense reports.
- Manage Fixed Assets: Roll forward fixed assets and reconcile them to the general ledger.
- Create Clarity: Prepare and review monthly financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow) ensuring full GAAP compliance.
- Provide Insight: Generate budget vs. actual variance reports that help leadership make informed decisions.
- Maintain the Ledger: Keep the general ledger immaculate, regularly reviewing account details and maintaining working knowledge of community agreements.
- Be the Go-To Expert: Assist Community Managers, Field Leadership, and other departments with their accounting activities, budgets, and payment tracking.
- Navigate with Ease: Effectively use our systems (Manage America, Divvy, Sage Intacct) to support operations and streamline processes.
- Tackle Challenges: Take on diverse projects and tasks as assigned, demonstrating your ability to adapt and deliver.
- Build Bridges: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships within your team and across all departments.
- Live Our Values: Consistently execute standard operating procedures and demonstrate Havenparks core values in all interactions.
- You are a Detail Detective: Your strict attention to detail is second to none. You spot discrepancies others miss.
- You are a Problem Solver: You can identify a need, investigate the root cause, and build a plan to fix it without needing constant supervision.
- You are Excel Masterful: You don't just use spreadsheets; you make them sing. Your skills are exceptional.
- You are a Pro Communicator: You can distill complex financial information into clear, concise points for both internal teams and external parties.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Familiar with accounting terminology and the full cycle of account reconciliation.

- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
