This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Infrastructure Monitoring Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial part in implementing and maintaining the IT Enterprise Monitoring strategy. As an essential team member, you'll help advance the Enterprise Monitoring Solutions adopted by our client, ensuring the efficiency of IT operations. Your expertise will be vital in documenting procedures and training new employees on these solutions.   • Execute activities related to the IT Enterprise Monitoring Strategy.
  • Maintain and deploy monitors based on monitoring systems.
  • Provide support for all Enterprise suite technologies, including issue resolution.
  • Troubleshoot monitoring agents on nodes within the organization.
  • Mentor and assist other team members or resources involved with monitoring technologies.
  • Import and install MIBS for monitoring network infrastructure hardware.
  • Verify connectivity of devices primarily through SNMP.
  • Develop documentation related to deliverables from project execution.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer to full-time employees for enhancement.
  • Administer Request For Proposal (RFP) modifications for operational autonomy.
  • Provide cross-training on Enterprise suite technologies for ongoing support.
  • Undertake additional activities related to non-monitoring technologies.
  • Liaise with clients and partners to identify improvements and next steps.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in enterprise monitoring software configuration and administration.
  • Experience with server and application-level monitoring, including configuring and deploying monitors.
  • Familiarity with enterprise hardware monitoring software and related tasks.
  • Experience in baseline trending, creating dashboards/reports, and predictive alerts.
  • Customization experience of monitoring technologies in secure environments.
  • Scripting knowledge in Unix Shell, Perl, VB, Python, or Java.
  • Integration experience of disparate monitoring products.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with CA UIM, CA Spectrum, Splunk, and Arcsight products.
  • Valid Federal Government Top Secret (Level III) clearance or equivalent.
