Bartender at Meriwether Godsey, Inc. – Alexandria, Virginia

Meriwether Godsey is looking for Part-time Bartender, responsible for providing our 1823 Cafe & Pub with drink service, accompanied by attentive and gracious service for a retail venue located in Alexandria, VA.

Must be available to work as follows: Tuesday-Thursday 4:30 pm-10:30 pm

$18.00 Per Hour

What you will do:

• Make and serve mixed alcoholic beverages and additional hot/cold beverages
• Greet and interact with customers while displaying a positive and friendly attitude
• Pour wine and serve draft and bottled beer, and other drinks and beverages
• Check the identification of customers to ensure that they are of legal drinking age
• Operate cash registers, collect payments from customers, and return change
• Maintain bar inventory to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, including, but not limited to, breakdown bar/beverage area, sweep and mop service area, empty trash cans, etc.
  

What you need:

• 1-2 years bartending or catering experience
• Familiarity with state and local laws regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages
• ServSafe Alcohol™ and/or TIPS Certified preferred
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent communication and good organizational skills
• Flexibility; ability to switch between locations and job duties
• Ability to carry 30lbs+ and to stand for 5-6 hours
• Reliable Transportation
