PRODUCTION MANAGER-METAL FINISHING

Dynomax, Inc is a family owned company in Wheeling, IL that designs, manufactures, and develops high-precision machined components, sub-assemblies, and electrical components for the aerospace and defense industries. We are seeking an experienced Production Manager for our Metal Finishing/Plating Department.

Job Responsibilities:

The Production Manager will supervise and mentor the production staff and schedule all Metal Finishing Processes, Painting, Gold Plating, and NDT work.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
• Read and interpret customer and industry specifications
• Develop, implement and help lead processes which increase or improve upon Dynomax's capabilities
• Train and act as resource for all employees on new and revised processes and methods as required
• Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
• Perform supervisory duties including time-card management, performance appraisals, time off approvals, progressive discipline, hiring and termination of employees
• Work closely with Project Management, Production Scheduling, and Quality Department to ensure that products meet customer quality standards and delivery requirements
• Manage and Control inventory levels of required raw materials for production floor.
• Develops, implements, and monitors ongoing production, quality and cost standards improvements initiatives.

Our ideal Production Manager will have experience in the following:

• 3+ years of production management experience in a metal finishing, plating, or industrial painting environment
• Aerospace OEM specifications
• Epicor ERP System
• Quality system requirements as per Nadcap and/or AS9100
• Special processes and/or metal finishing
