This role is a strategic leadership position responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and modernization of enterprise systems supporting critical business operations. You will oversee IT service management, enforce governance, and drive operational excellence across multiple technical and service delivery teams. Acting as a key liaison to stakeholders and clients, you will influence decision-making, manage escalations, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks. The role requires deep expertise in systems operations, ITIL4 processes, and technical project execution within complex, regulated environments. You will lead initiatives to optimize system reliability, security, and scalability while coaching technical staff and fostering a culture of accountability. This position provides a unique opportunity to shape enterprise system operations and support high-impact business outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Ensure end-to-end system performance, availability, and operational continuity, including monitoring, incident management, and escalation protocols.
  • Lead Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and implement corrective actions for major incidents; maintain defect tracking and rapid triage procedures.
  • Guide infrastructure modernization initiatives, including cloud-readiness, virtualization, platform refactoring, and security improvements.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve ITSM processes (ITIL4), overseeing Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.
  • Define, monitor, and improve KPIs and SLAs to drive service quality and operational excellence.
  • Act as primary liaison to stakeholders, representing system performance, status, and impacts in governance and delivery meetings.
  • Lead, coach, and develop technical and operations teams, ensuring clear ownership, cross-training, and succession planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or PMP preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, operations, or infrastructure leadership; healthcare or Medicaid MIS experience preferred.
  • 5+ years in technical and service delivery leadership roles.
  • Strong expertise in ITIL4, ITSM, and technical project execution in regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC, and enterprise compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead operational oversight, incident response, and technical modernization initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams.
