This role provides a unique opportunity to lead technical engagements with mid-market and enterprise clients, ensuring they realize the full value of complex software solutions. You will partner closely with Sales teams to guide customers from onboarding through adoption, retention, and renewal, translating business needs into actionable technical solutions. The Strategic Solutions Engineer will provide hands-on support for integrations, technical qualification, and security reviews while collaborating cross-functionally to influence product development. This position combines strategic thinking, technical expertise, and customer advocacy, making it critical for driving client success and long-term retention. The Strategic Solutions Engineer plays a pivotal role in enabling successful customer adoption and driving revenue retention:
- Lead technical discussions with mid-market and enterprise customers alongside Sales teams, ensuring seamless onboarding and adoption.
- Partner with Account Executives to guide prospects through implementation, security reviews, technical qualification calls, and quarterly business reviews.
- Respond promptly to inbound technical questions and support requests from Sales teams.
- Build and maintain deep expertise in product capabilities, integrations, configurations, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape.
- Gather and relay customer feedback to influence product development priorities and roadmap decisions.
- Develop customer-facing resources, including product examples, technical documentation, and reference materials.
- Cultivate a collaborative, creative, and continuous improvement-oriented team culture.
Candidates should bring a combination of technical acumen, customer-facing experience, and project management skills:
- 5+ years of pre-sales, technical customer-facing experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or equivalent role.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including technical teams, security experts, and executive leadership.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Bash, JavaScript) and REST API/service integrations preferred.
- B2B SaaS experience highly desirable.
- Curiosity and proficiency in using AI responsibly to enhance productivity and impact.
