About the Position & Company

Liberty Electric in Salem, NH is looking for a Service Technician for projects in NH and the MA Merrimack Valley area. We are a long-established company celebrating our 40th year with a strong reputation for providing high-quality electrical services. Our focus is mainly on commercial, institutional, industrial, and large residential projects as well as solar installation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a service technician, in a wide array of electrical settings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and testing to ensure system reliability.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Adapt to a wide range of electrical systems, equipment, and project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and inspectors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • OSHA 10 Certified, OSHA 30 preferred
  • Electrical License valid for NH and MA
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Deep understanding of electrical codes
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Ability to read drawings, plans, and diagrams
  • Experience with commercial and residential wiring
  • Experience with fire alarm installation and programming is a plus
  • Experience with solar installations is a plus
  • Ability to manage and lead co-workers in accomplishing projects according to schedule
  • Organized and detailed in reporting daily construction activities, material purchases, and project progress
  • Lay out and plan work, in advance, in accordance with job schedules, plans, and specs
  • Team Player. Demonstrated experience as a strong team member with superior oral and written communication skills, and solid relationship building skills.
  • Works well independently or in a group
  • Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving of your whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs solo/100 lbs assisted, balancing, walking, stooping, working on ladders at heights and handling of materials.
  • Candidates will need all necessary electrical trade hand tools before starting
