Sanctuary Centers of Santa Barbara is a nonprofit organization with nearly 50 years of experience serving the most vulnerable members of our community. Through our Integrated Health Clinic and Enhanced Care Management (ECM) program, we offer person-centered medical and social care coordination for Medi-Cal members with complex needs.
General Purpose
The Clinical Therapist, Integrated Health (IHC) & Co-Occurring Disorders (COD) provides psychotherapy services across two settings: (1) an integrated primary care clinic delivering brief outpatient psychotherapy to individuals of all ages, and (2) a co-occurring disorders program providing mental health and substance use treatment, including group and individual services, to higher-acuity populations. This role supports whole-person care through coordinated, multidisciplinary service delivery.
Accountability
Reports to the Chief Health Systems Officer and/or designated Program Director.

Salary Description
Position will be Fulltime and pay hourly. Starting pay rate will range between $38-43/hour.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities
IHC Responsibilities:
- Provide brief, evidence-based psychotherapy for mild to moderate conditions
- Conduct screenings and assessments
- Collaborate with medical and behavioral health providers
- Participate in case conferences
- Document services in compliance with payer and regulatory standards
COD Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group therapy for co-occurring disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation
- Maintain documentation and client records
- Participate in program meetings
Cross-Setting:
- Maintain professional, ethical standards
- Provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed care
- Coordinate care across disciplines
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in related field
- Licensed or registered with BBS
- Experience in mental health and substance use treatment preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Valid California Driver’s License and vehicle insurance.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
