The Director, Financial Institutions will lead and execute the strategy for a major regional financial institution sales segment, driving revenue growth, client engagement, and team performance. This role manages a high-value portfolio while fostering relationships with key clients, including banks and credit unions. The successful candidate will oversee a team of sales professionals, develop actionable plans to meet ambitious targets, and leverage market insights to identify opportunities and mitigate risks. This position combines strategic leadership, operational excellence, and strong client focus within a collaborative, results-driven environment. The Director will also partner with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated solutions that maximize business impact.
- Lead and manage a team of approximately 10 sales professionals across regional and mid-market territories.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth, retention, and profitability across the financial institution segment.
- Manage and expand a portfolio exceeding $300M in revenue, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term relationships.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Set clear performance objectives, track progress, provide coaching, and conduct evaluations for the sales team.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including marketing, product development, and operations, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Negotiate agreements, contracts, and partnerships that align with business objectives and revenue goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience, ideally with a background in financial institutions and financial services.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing large sales portfolios.
- Strong leadership, team development, and coaching skills.
- Experience with Salesforce (SFDC) or similar CRM platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) to manage pipelines and drive forecasts.
- Exceptional strategic planning, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Demonstrated financial acumen, budget management, and ability to influence outcomes in complex organizational structures.
