Position: Facilities Attendant FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Facilities Manager Department: Club Maintenance
POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities Attendant plays a vital role in delivering exceptional member and guest experiences by ensuring all club events, fitness classes, meetings, and clubhouse spaces are properly prepared, maintained, and presented to the highest standards.
This position supports banquet operations, clubhouse facilities, fitness programming, and daily club activities by executing room setups, maintaining interior and exterior cleanliness, and assisting multiple departments to ensure seamless operations and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Event, Meeting & Fitness Setup
1. Sets up banquet rooms, meeting spaces, and event areas according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
2. Prepares rooms for board meetings, committee meetings, and private member gatherings.
3. Sets up for fitness classes including mats, chairs, podiums, sound systems, and water stations.
4. Arranges tables, chairs, dance floors, podiums, décor, staging, and specialty equipment.
5. Assists with audiovisual setup and troubleshooting as directed.
6. Breaks down and resets rooms efficiently following events, meetings, and classes.
7. Ensures all event spaces are prepared on time and meet Club presentation standards.
8. Responds quickly and professionally to last-minute changes or setup adjustments.

Facilities & Exterior Property Support
9. Performs routine facility walkthroughs before and during events to ensure readiness.
10. Maintains cleanliness of patios, terraces, entrances, windows, light fixtures, and other high-traffic areas.
11. Removes leaves, debris, cobwebs, and trash from clubhouse exterior and building perimeter.
12. Assists with light exterior upkeep including power washing terraces during season.
13. Maintains curb appeal to ensure a welcoming environment for members and guests.
14. Monitors and immediately reports maintenance or safety concerns to the Facilities Manager.

Daily Operations & Departmental Support
15. Assists housekeeping and Food & Beverage teams as needed to support club operations.
16. Removes trash and recycling during and after events and ensures proper disposal.
17. Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies throughout the clubhouse as needed.
18. Maintains cleanliness and organization of storage rooms and facilities areas.
19. Assists with preventative maintenance efforts as directed.
20. Provides delivery and pick-up support for kitchen and administrative departments when necessary.

WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
• Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Extended hours may be required during peak season and major events.
• Overtime may be required based on operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Education
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
• Prior banquet, hospitality, facilities, or maintenance experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to follow written BEO instructions and verbal directions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of safe lifting techniques and event equipment handling.
• Team-oriented with a proactive, service-focused mindset.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
• Work performed indoors and outdoors.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and humidity.
• Exposure to noise and high-traffic event environments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and reaching.
• Ability to safely move tables, chairs, dance floors, and event equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly.
• Extended periods of standing and walking (5–13 hours as operationally required).
• Ability to climb ladders as needed (potentially 25 feet or higher).
