This role is a senior leadership position responsible for driving regional revenue growth and building a high-performing sales team. The Regional Sales Director will lead field sales professionals across new business, renewals, and expansion opportunities, while setting strategic direction and prioritizing high-value accounts. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and service delivery, to ensure successful implementations and strong customer outcomes. The role also involves coaching, talent development, and recruitment to maintain a competitive, results-driven team. Up to 50% travel is expected to build relationships with clients, teams, and key stakeholders. The position is ideal for a dynamic, client-focused sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with a measurable impact on student outcomes.
Accountabilities:- Lead regional revenue performance by managing a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed bookings goals across new business, renewals, and expansion.
- Develop and execute territory and account strategies, prioritizing high-value district targets and maintaining pipeline health.
- Coach and mentor Account Executives through the full sales cycle, ensuring strong execution in discovery, value selling, proposals, negotiation, and closing.
- Align field execution with sales processes, enforcing CRM discipline, reporting standards, and policy compliance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth handoffs, issue resolution, and high-quality customer outcomes.
- Represent the organization externally at conferences, industry events, and with district leaders to build brand credibility and generate opportunities.
- Use data to inform decisions, analyze account health, track performance metrics, and optimize regional strategy.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of sales management experience, preferably leading new logo acquisition teams.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets through pipeline management, proactive account health strategies, and consultative selling.
- Strong leadership skills with experience recruiting, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
- Comfortable with travel and attending industry events to build relationships and represent the organization.
- Client-focused, consultative sales approach with strong negotiation skills; EdTech experience is a plus.
