Shipping/Receiving Specialist at THOMPSON & JOHNSON EQUIPMENT CO INC – East Syracuse, New York

We are seeking a full-time experience Shipping/Receiving Specialist to join our Syracuse Parts Dept team by supporting internal and external customers/employees.

This position will receive incoming inventory and prepare orders for efficient loading, unloading, and departure of trucks. Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing inventory while supporting internal and external customers. Inspect shipments for damages, operate forklift/pallet jack, tire pressing machine, including pressing tires, label and tag materials for special order or inventory, pick up and deliver parts to customers and mechanics as needed.

Pay Range: $21-$24 hour depending on relevant experience

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent is required

Prior shipping/receiving experience is preferred

Knowledge of AS400, Tinnacity and UPS software is desirable

Must have the ability to perform strenuous and heavy work; exert force up to 150 pounds on occasion and frequently handle up to 50 pounds. Must have the physical stamina to perform continuously with full body motion for climbing, reaching, pulling, lifting, etc.
