Golf & Skier Services Manager

SUMMARY
The Golf & Skier Services Manager is responsible for the management and operation of the Spanish Peaks Mountain Club the day-to-day functions that align with the department’s long-term goals and objectives, provide excellent customer service, and actively contribute to the department requirements and standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties include, although are not limited to:
- Complete store & course operational requirements by assisting with scheduling and assigning associates in conjunction with Ski & Golf Services leadership; following up on work results.
- Manage golf cart cleanliness, maintenance and storage.
- Communicate with golf cart repair companies for necessary maintenance.
- Organize member and guest bag storage.
- Train new associates on proper ski & golf operations to ensure excellent personalized member and guest satisfaction, including but not limited to: ensuring cleanliness of all golf and ski areas, informing groups of rules of the course, maintaining adequate supply of golf and ski supplies, and ensuring proper storage of gear.
- Storage and use of range balls, tees, scorecards, etc.
- Keep track of supplies, ordering and maintain proper par stocks
- Manage winter ski and boot storage -Use Easyrent program for storage.
- Conduct daily shift line up and lead day-to-day operations for outside staff.
- Train and mentor all new and existing associates on proper ski & golf operations to ensure excellent member satisfaction.
- Responsible for management of inventory includes inventory controls, re-orders, and working within budget guidelines.
- Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintain store results by coaching and counseling associates.
- Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school or equivalent education required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One to two years’ experience in a luxury club preferred
- Two to three years’ experience in a supervisory or higher level role.
- Strong passion for and emphasis on member and guest service
- Exceptional member and guest recovery skills
- Must possess a can do, positive attitude and team spirit
- Must be willing to participate in a learning environment
- Must integrate company values throughout all interactions
- Must be dependable and available to work within the club on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires walking and standing most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.
