BAR MANAGER/BEVERAGE OPERATIONS MANAGER

The Beach Club, an elite Distinguished Club of America, a Platinum Club of the United States, and a Platinum Club of the World, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager / Beverage Operations Manager to lead and elevate our full beverage program. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for delivering an exceptional member experience while maintaining operational excellence, cost discipline, and compliance across all beverage outlets.

Founded in 1941 as the Coral Beach Club, The Beach Club has a rich history of offering an informal, relaxed environment for its members. The Club operates year-round, boasting a newly renovated 73,000 square foot clubhouse with oceanfront dining, banquet venues, and a world-class pool deck. Recent capital improvements, including over $52M in upgrades, have modernized the Club’s facilities, positioning it as one of the finest private clubs in the region.

KEY FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS

- Membership: 770 Regular Members, 60 Junior Members

- Initiation Fee: $250,000

- Annual Charges: $11,200 Regular / $8,025 Junior

- Gross Revenues: Approximately $14.5M (+$3.5M in new member capital contributions)

- Food & Beverage Revenue: $4M (55% a la carte, 45% banquets)

BAR MANAGER/BEVERAGE OPERATIONS MANAGER OVERVIEW

This role blends hands-on service leadership, beverage expertise, and operational management. You will oversee all bar operations, wine programming, banquet beverage execution, and team development while serving as a key ambassador of our five-star hospitality culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Member Experience & Service Excellence

• Provide a visible, engaging presence across all dining and event spaces

• Deliver personalized beverage and wine recommendations

• Perform table touches and support elevated dining service

Beverage Program Leadership

• Curate and manage a high-end wine and craft cocktail program

• Maintain strong inventory controls, cost management, and cellar organization

• Ensure consistency and excellence across all beverage offerings

Banquet & Event Operations

• Oversee beverage execution for private events, weddings, and club functions

• Partner with culinary and events teams on programming and logistics

• Lead bar setup, staffing, and service for high-volume events

Operations, Compliance & Cost Control

• Maintain strict liquor control, inventory accuracy, and purchasing discipline

• Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance across all outlets

• Drive profitability while maintaining a luxury member experience

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing bar team

• Establish a culture of professionalism, accountability, and service excellence

• Lead ongoing training in wine, cocktails, and service standards

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

• 3–5+ years of beverage or bar management experience in a luxury club, resort, or hospitality environment

• Sommelier Level 1 or higher required

• Country club experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and craft cocktails

• Proven experience with inventory control, cost management, and team leadership

• Ability to manage multiple outlets and high-volume operations
