About This Position

Description: JOB SUMMARY

The Shipping and Logistics Specialist will manage and coordinate shipments between global suppliers, warehouses, and customers to ensure efficient, on-time delivery and smooth logistics operations while maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing shipping processes, and resolving transportation challenges to support overall supply chain performance of 100% OTD.

This role requires 5+ years of international shipping experience (including trade lanes such as India–France, USA, and Asia; Asia–USA, Europe, and India), familiarity with drop shipping models from suppliers directly to customers, and working knowledge of Free Trade Zones (FTZ) as they relate to shipping and receiving.

Strong time management skills are essential for managing daily workload demands, along with experience collaborating with customer contacts and international logistics carriers, primarily airfreight providers, including timely follow-up on information requests to ensure uninterrupted shipment flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with domestic and international suppliers, carriers, and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments while verifying quantities and documentation against purchase orders.
  • Prepare and process customer orders, including packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation.
  • Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate delivery status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, shipping logs, and transportation records within company systems.
  • Partner with logistics providers to schedule shipments, optimize routes, and resolve transportation issues quickly.
  • Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations, safety standards, FTZ regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Identify and resolve shipping delays or operational challenges to maintain high service levels and operational efficiency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in logistics or supply chain, and or minimum of 5 years of international logistics, shipping coordination, or supply chain operations experience is required (e.g., India to France, USA, and Asia; Asia to USA, Europe, and India).
  • Proven Experience with drop shipping items from suppliers to customers
  • Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or a similar role with strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control procedures.
  • Experience with shipping software, WMS, TMS or ERP systems (EPICOR preferred).
  • Experience coordinating supplier-to-customer shipping models, including drop shipping or direct fulfillment logistics
  • Working knowledge of FTZ (Free Trade Zone) processes and international shipping compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive shipment coordination with strict deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills as they relate to daily workload, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with customer contacts and international logistics carriers (primarily airfreight), including timely follow-up on information requests
  • Leadership or mentoring experience in warehouse environments.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of international and domestic transportation regulations and safety standards and regulations.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication across diverse professional settings, including interactions with customers, suppliers, and coworkers.
  • Proven ability to establish and achieve goals and objectives.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to attend work as scheduled
  • Demonstrate the ability to be a team player
