About This Position
Advocare South Jersey Pediatrics is looking for a Full Time or Part Time Pediatrician to join our team. Our primary care practice is located in South Jersey, conveniently located to Philadelphia, with offices in Cherry Hill and Collingswood, New Jersey. Advocare South Jersey Pediatrics has a decades long history of delivering exceptional care to generations of families. We are looking for a permanent addition to our clinical family. This role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of patient outcomes. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, adhering to compliance standards, and fostering patient education and preventive care initiatives.
Specific Duties:
- Provide comprehensive pediatric care for infants, children, and adolescents, including well child, sick/acute care visits, and management of chronic conditions.
- Perform age-appropriate physical exams, developmental screenings, and behavioral assessments
- Administer immunizations and counsel families per CDC/AAP guidelines
- Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries and prescribe medications and treatments responsibly and accurately
- Provide anticipatory guidance on nutrition, growth, development, sleep, and safety and educate parents and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Refer patients to specialists and follow up on consults and/or coordinate care with therapists, schools, and community resources when appropriate
- Review lab results, imaging, and reports and communicate findings to families
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records (EMR.) This includes completing visit notes, orders, and follow-up documentation.
- Perform minor in-office procedures such as ear irrigation, nebulizer treatments, rapid tests (strep, flu, etc.), hearing and vision screening.
- Expectation to see 20-25 patients over a full day, in appropriate timeframe.
- Full Time schedule consists of 4 days per week (9 hours), plus one evening weekly (3 hours), rotating weekly after hours on-call, rotating monthly weekend shift, holiday rotation.
- Part Time schedule consists of 2-3 days per week (9 hours), plus one evening weekly (3 hours), rotating weekly after hours on-call, rotating monthly weekend shift, holiday rotation.
Physician Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in New Jersey
- American Board of Pediatrics certification or eligibility
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
