Job Description
Summary, Role: The soft count team collects cash cans from the table games and gaming machines, opens them, then sorts and counts the money inside. In addition to balancing the cash and vouchers compared to the reports generated from the gaming machines.
Essential Responsibilities:
- You must be physically able to walk around the casino pushing a cart with boxes on it. Handling all drop boxes assuring all funds accounted for.
- Count all the money from the casino gaming machines, table games and vouchers
- Compare and verify all cash/voucher totals with the generated report totals.
- Assuring compliance with internal controls.
Requirements (KSA’s)
- Counting and math skills required
- Must be able to understand and utilize programs and apps on a computer (slot system)
- Must be able to obtain registration with NV Gaming Control Board
- Work well in a small team
- Attention to detail
Education, certificates:
High school diploma or equivalent
Physical requirements:
Standing and walking, sitting. Bending, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 30 lbs., pushing and pulling required. Working in confined space for extended periods. Works in a smoke-filled environment.
