Job Description

NDT Inspector II

Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring quality? Are you excited about using specialized equipment to inspect materials and components used in aerospace? If so, then our NDT Inspector II position might be the perfect fit for you! In this critical role, you will be a vital part of our NDT team ensuring the integrity of materials, parts and components critical to the aerospace industry. You will perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on these components to identify potential defects and imperfections that impact their integrity and ensure they meet the highest standards required for aerospace applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) on a variety of materials, parts, components, and assemblies to identify internal and surface defects.
  • Select and set up appropriate NDT equipment based on the specific test requirements and material properties.
  • Perform NDT inspections using various methods.
  • Interpret and analyze test results to identify and characterize defects, ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, including clear documentation of findings and recommendations.
  • Instruct, train and/or supervise trainees.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing inspections.
  • Loading and unloading parts for shipping.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum certification as an NDT Level II inspector in one or more NDT methods (e.g., VT, PT, MT).
  • Strong understanding of NDT principles and various inspection techniques.
  • Experience with robotics, CNC programming, or automated inspection systems; exposure to part programming and automation is highly valued as a significant portion of our NDT work involves the automated inspection process.
  • Experience in interpreting and analyzing NDT data to identify defects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures.

Physical Demands

  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Able to rig and hoist parts of various weights and dimensions.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
