Commercial Service Technician at JD Electric LLC – Louisville, Kentucky

Job Overview:

• Schedule: Monday - Friday.

• Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Electrical Masters or Journeyman KY License.

The Opportunity: You will be the primary technical expert responsible for restoring power and efficiency to our commercial clients. This role empowers you to act as a diagnostic specialist, solving complex electrical mysteries and making critical repairs that keep businesses running.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex commercial power issues and equipment failures with precision.

• Execute high-quality repairs on lighting systems, equipment power feeds, and electrical panels.

• Document existing field conditions and provide detailed lists of required parts for equipment restoration.

• Perform light commercial installations and panel changes to upgrade aging infrastructure.

• Coordinate directly with the office team to ensure clear communication on project status and client needs.

• Maintain a highly organized service vehicle and inventory to ensure rapid response times.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Kentucky State Master or Journeyman Electrical License.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical service and troubleshooting.

• Proven expertise in diagnosing power issues, lighting failures, and equipment circuitry.

• Strong ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Advanced experience with commercial panel changes and service entrance upgrades.

• Demonstrated history of providing high-level customer service and clear professional communication.

• Proficiency in using digital documentation tools for field reporting.

• Advanced knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards for commercial environments.
