CNA - Full-time, day shift at Prairieview Lutheran Homes – Danforth, Illinois

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. This role requires a strong commitment to resident care, attention to detail, and the ability to follow individualized care plans to ensure the well-being and comfort of our residents.

• Carry out and assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) according to their individual care plans.
• Follow the plan of care as outlined in each resident's individual care plan.
• Document care provided, including vital signs, weights, intake and output (I&O), and other required information as directed by the nursing department.
• Practice proper infection control protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
• Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Keep residents' rooms clean, organized, and free of clutter.
• Provide transportation for residents to activities and meals as required.
• Carry out residents' individual restorative plans as documented.
• Report all concerns or complaints made by residents or their families to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Make regular rounds to ensure residents are safe, comfortable, and their needs are met.
• Work efficiently to minimize overtime and process resident charges timely and accurately.
• Maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, fostering a calm environment throughout the department.
• Participate in required in-service education and training sessions.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to the dress code policy.
• Demonstrate honesty and integrity by always doing the right thing; be open, forthright, genuine, trustworthy, and truthful.

• Current Illinois CNA certification.
• Must have a valid CPR certification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in Memory Care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow detailed care plans and document accurately.
• Commitment to infection control and resident safety.
• Reliable, efficient, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
