Mixer/Sanitation - 3rd Shift at PEPPER SOURCE LTD – Van Buren, Arkansas
About This Position
Job Title: Mixer/Sanitation
Reports To: Department Supervisor/TQL
FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt
3rd Shift
Hours: Sunday, 8:00pm-6:30am, Monday-Thursday, 10:30pm-7:00am
Overtime required based on production need.
$17.00/hour
Guaranteed $0.50 raise after 90 days.
Operates mixing machine to blend ingredients into compounds for processing and Cleans production rooms and equipment by performing the following duties:
Other duties may be assigned.
- Verifies ingredients prior to mixing batches.
- Follows instructions given by TQL
- Loads ingredients into mixing tank.
- Starts agitators, pumps, steam control units, and various equipment and adjusts valves or devices in mixing chamber to aid in blending and viscosity of mixture.
- Operates agitators, pumps, steam control units, and various equipment until mixture reaches desired consistency, and operates valves and pumps to transfer mixture into kettles, pick system, totes and/or drums.
- Cleans, inspects, disassembles and sanitizes mixing tanks, kettles, hold tanks, pick system, pumps, drains, pipes, and other various equipment.
- Work in hot, cold, and wet environments.
- Stand for an extended period of time, walk, bend, stoop, intermittently lift up to 50 lbs., use arms and hands at or above shoulder height, work atop a raised platform.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Language Skills
Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
