We are currently looking for an Enterprise Software Architect in the United States.This role is ideal for a seasoned technology leader responsible for defining and driving the software architectural vision across a complex, multi-business-line engineering organization. You will lead the transformation of legacy monolithic applications into modern, scalable, service-oriented architectures, while establishing unified data platforms and comprehensive API strategies. The position requires close collaboration with engineering teams, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment across application, data, and infrastructure layers. You will influence architectural decisions, foster adoption of best practices, and implement governance frameworks that ensure quality, maintainability, and security. Success in this role demands balancing technical excellence with business priorities and operational efficiency. Remote work is supported, with occasional travel as needed.Accountabilities:
  • Establish and maintain the enterprise software architectural vision, standards, and long-term technology strategy
  • Lead the transformation from monolithic systems to service-oriented architectures, ensuring scalable, secure, and performant solutions
  • Define and implement API strategies, including REST API standards, OpenAPI specifications, and integration patterns
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize technical initiatives and provide guidance on design and implementation
  • Enforce software architectural governance, including API contracts, code quality, versioning standards, and change management processes
  • Partner with IT, business, security, and infrastructure teams to align technical vision with business objectives and secure organizational buy-in
  • Evaluate, recommend, and adopt modern technologies, tools, and frameworks to support enterprise-scale systems and unified data platforms
  • Conduct architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and risk assessments to mitigate technical and organizational challenges
  • Establish metrics to measure adoption, system health, and architectural initiative success
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience, including at least 5 years in enterprise architecture roles
  • Proven expertise in service-oriented architecture, microservices, REST APIs, and API documentation standards (OpenAPI/Swagger)
  • Strong experience with modern data architecture, database design, and data integration for relational and NoSQL systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide technical transformations and drive adoption across multiple engineering teams
  • Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, CI/CD practices, and modern development tooling (AWS preferred)
  • Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, message queues, event-driven architectures, and data pipelines
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance technical excellence with business pragmatism, delivery timelines, and cost considerations
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and security frameworks for authentication, authorization, and API security
