About This Position
Job Description: Auto Body Mechanic
The Auto Body Mechanic is a highly skilled professional who excels in inspecting vehicle mechanical components and engines, diagnosing problems, and performing necessary maintenance and repairs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical faults using computerized diagnostic equipment or manually identify issues that the diagnostic tools cannot detect.
- Replace or repair any engine components.
- Service and repair vehicle transmission systems.
- Maintain and repair brake systems, including disc and drum brakes.
- Diagnose and repair electrical system issues, such as problems with the battery, starter, and alternator.
- Perform wheel alignments and tire services.
- Replace or repair suspension and steering components.
- Conduct emissions tests and ensure emissions meet regulatory standards.
- Replace exhaust systems.
- Change oil and perform necessary fluid services.
- Replace or repair fuel system components.
- Service or repair hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic systems in applicable vehicles.
- Document all repairs and maintenance in the appropriate systems.
- Provide repair estimates, timelines, and seek center leader approval for work to be performed.

- Customer Service Index Score 95+ for Quality, Done on Time, and Net Promoter Score
- Cycle Time Efficiency
Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Auto Body Mechanic and proper training/certification
- Mechanical skills and knowledge of mechanical systems
- Familiarity with complex electronic control systems
- Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment well.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair guides.
- Knowledge of vehicle safety standards and regulations
- Basic understanding of automotive repair techniques
- Valid driver's license

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Perform all assigned responsibilities according to the Company Standard Operating Procedures.
- Participate in training programs as required to maintain the technical and professional skills and techniques necessary for this position.
- Extend normal working hours as necessary to accommodate the workload and meet customer requirements.
