Survey Crew Chief at WSB & Associates, Inc. dba WSB – Tulsa, Oklahoma

Forge ahead with WSB. We are seeking a Survey Crew Chief to add to our growing team. You will lead field surveying operations in Oklahoma with potential travel to the surrounding states. We are looking for a Survey Crew Chief with a team mentality, strong technical skills, excellent field judgment, and the ability to manage crews, equipment and data collection with accuracy and reliability. You will collaborate closely with project managers and survey teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and safe, efficient field practices. What you will do:

• Lead the field phase for boundary, topographic, right-of-way, and construction surveys for a wide variety of public and private projects.
• Direct, schedule, and support survey crew operations
• Interpret and make calculations from construction plans
• Operate and maintain field equipment
• Check and transfer data uploads and downloads
• Travel, including overnight stays, is sometimes required

What You Will Bring:

• 3+ years of experience in construction, topographic, right-of-way, and boundary surveys;
• Ability to schedule between multiple projects and communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors;
• Ability to operate Topcon/Leica GPS, Total Stations, and other survey equipment;
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains;
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Our preferred candidate will have:

• A two-year degree in civil engineering technology or land surveying;
• 2+ years of responsible charge in the field;
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/Open Roads;
• Drone license and experience with LiDAR and Photogrammetry
