Job Summary:

Assist leadership with development of organizational strategies and objectives. Lead and manage initiatives to achieve objectives across Claims. Oversee the development and reporting of operational results, forecasts and trends. Demonstrate the traits of a Lean Leader. Responsible for managing the work environment, identifying workforce needs and ensuring alignment with corporate manager expectations, values and vision.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist leadership with development of organizational strategies and objectives. Help identify priorities in alignment with business objectives. Lead and manage initiatives to achieve goals across the department. Collaborate and consult with key stakeholders across the enterprise and external client partners to ensure alignment and coordination.
  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of projects. Drive execution of assigned projects and programs. Manage repository and documentation of standardized work processes, job instructions and job aids. Create and conduct programs to address business or regulatory issues. Act as a subject matter expert as needed.
  • Develop and maintain performance management models, techniques, systems, and tools. Contribute to the maturation process of our reporting on operational results, forecasts, and trends. Analyze and interpret complex data to provide meaningful insights to leadership and employees. Work closely with vendors, EB Business Intelligence, EB Value Optimization Services, Learning and Development and Quality Management leadership teams.
  • Oversee work of direct reports in alignment with departmental goals. Train staff; support continuous improvement; demonstrate leader expected behaviors; challenge the status quo.

Skills and Background You’ll Need:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience required.

Certification: Professional certification required: Rummler-Brache and CEBS preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible group disability claim experience
  • 3 years of experience managing a claim team
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Lean principles strongly preferred.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.

Salary Range:

$122,250.00 - $195,500.00
