About This Position
Kamco Supply Corp. of Boston is New England's largest one stop source and distributor of commercial building products including acoustical ceiling systems, architectural doors and hardware, drywall, steel framing, insulation, and exterior systems.
We are seeking to add an Inside Sales Account Manager to our team. This role serves as the primary contact for assigned customers and is responsible for customer satisfaction, ensuring quality standards, and timely service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain intimate customer relationships by being the primary contact to our customers as assigned.
- Develop pricing strategies for your customers’ major projects and day-to-day business. Negotiate buy pricing with vendors and consult with Manager to recommend customer sell prices.
- Work closely with Key and Target Accounts to win majority of projects and day-to-day business.
- Complete Key and Target Account Plan for each assigned customer. The plan must include Share of Wallet analysis and annual revenue goal by core product category.
- Understand and communicate our value proposition and our product's features and benefits. Quotes prices and credit terms and prepare sales orders.
- Coordinate delivery schedule of projects based on customer's needs and Kamco's available capacity with Operations personnel.
- Visits construction sites to meet with the customer to resolve any order and delivery issues as needed.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding manufacturer quality issues.
- Advise manager in ALL competitive situations.
- Assists with counter and phones sales as needed.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from all available lead sources, for example: ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, inactive customer lists, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
- Be proactive in the solicitation of business which includes, but is not limited to, job follow-up, quotation follow-up, sales tape audits (call customers who have fallen behind in purchases), special product emphasis, new credit aps, and other lead sources.
- Follow up on company/branch sponsored special emphasis program.
- Handling inbound sales lead calls and converts calls into sales.
- Provides product demos to qualified customers on request.
- Responsible for maintaining showroom and samples. Must maintain the cleanliness of assigned work area.
- Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships and work in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, math aptitude, diplomacy, and computer literacy
- Advanced product knowledge of building materials and sales experience is beneficial.
