This role plays a key part in supporting patient access and administrative efficiency within a healthcare services environment focused on strengthening community hospitals and health systems. You will be responsible for handling patient scheduling and pre-registration activities through inbound, outbound, and dialer-based communications. The position requires a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and patient-centered service, ensuring that individuals receive timely support and clear information regarding their healthcare visits. You will also assist with insurance verification, financial responsibility collection, and data entry into multiple systems. Working remotely, you will contribute to a highly structured, process-driven environment where service quality and operational consistency are essential. - Handle inbound, outbound, and dialer calls to support patient scheduling and pre-registration activities in a timely manner.
- Schedule patient appointments according to client requirements and operational guidelines.
- Complete patient pre-registration tasks across one or more systems, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Verify insurance eligibility and calculate patient financial responsibility, including collecting payments when required.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation to support operational and compliance needs.
- Respond to client emails and perform follow-up communication as needed.
- Support data collection efforts for quality improvement initiatives.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality patient service aligned with organizational standards.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 6+ months of experience in patient registration or similar administrative healthcare processes.
- 6+ months of customer service or outbound call center experience.
- Familiarity with hospital registration processes preferred.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and data privacy requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage patients clearly and professionally.
- Strong multitasking abilities, including talking and typing simultaneously.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet performance goals in a structured environment.
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
- Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
