Registered Dental Assistant at Mitchell Family Dentistry – Alameda, California

$30 - $35 hourly

• Assist dentists and hygienists chairside during a variety of procedures
• Anticipate provider needs and prepare appropriate instruments, materials, and trays for procedures
• Prepare and break down operatories with attention to infection control and efficiency
• Take digital X-rays and assist with intraoral scanning as needed
• Accurately chart patient care and assist with real-time clinical documentation (scribing)
• Help maintain a smooth, organized clinical flow across multiple providers and rooms
• Support patient comfort by providing reassurance and clear communication throughout appointments
• Maintain equipment, instruments, and supplies for daily readiness

Skills & Experience That Support Success in This Role

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an RDA in a general dental practice
• Experience with dental practice management software (EagleSoft strongly preferred)
• Current RDA license, X-ray certification, and Coronal Polishing certification
• Strong clinical awareness and ability to stay organized in a busy environment
• Comfortable supporting multiple providers and adjusting throughout the day
• Experience with or openness to chairside charting/scribing
• Detail-oriented with the ability to listen, assist, and document simultaneously
• Reliable, team-oriented, and consistent in follow-through
• Clear communication skills and a calm, professional presence
