Regional Sales Manager

The Regional Sales Manager - West Region is responsible for leading regional growth through strategic account management, new business development, and best-in-class execution at the point of sale. This role combines commercial strategy, field execution, and team leadership to maximize sell-in and sell-out performance.

You will lead a team of Market Sales Leaders, manage key accounts, and ensure strong distribution, inventory health, and trade investment ROI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive regional sales growth by managing key accounts, opening new channels, and expanding distribution
  • Ensure best-in-class in-store execution through strong field leadership and clear execution plans
  • Lead, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams with a focus on results and accountability
  • Manage and optimize trade marketing investment to maximize ROI and sell-out
  • Oversee forecasting, inventory health, and CRM data accuracy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and HR to deliver business results

  • Sales performance vs. budget (sell-in & sell-out)
  • In-store execution excellence
  • Trade spend efficiency and ROI
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Inventory health across customers and distributors
  • Market share growth (e.g., Nielsen data)
  • Team performance and retention
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial experience in the U.S. food & beverage, CPG, or mass retail industry with proven results in general market expansion and category growth.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing sales leaders or regional account managers.
  • Strong expertise in Key Account Management and trade spend/promotional budget management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, International Business, or related field (MBA a plus).
  • Fully bilingual: English (fluent) and Spanish (intermediate or higher).
  • Strategic leadership, ability to manage budgets and profitability, senior-level negotiation, and talent development skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region (50–70%).
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to walk and move around 2/3 of the time.
  • Using fingers to operate tools and devices.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the phone and in person.
