This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, AI-driven systems, and large-scale cloud data platforms, supporting critical data operations that power enterprise decision-making. You will work on complex data pipelines, ensuring data quality, reliability, and accessibility across multiple systems and environments. Operating in a highly technical and collaborative setting, you will help design, optimize, and monitor data workflows that support advanced analytics and AI use cases. The position requires deep expertise in big data ecosystems, strong SQL and programming capabilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data issues. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, engineers, and clients to ensure data integrity and performance across production systems. This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences the accuracy, scalability, and trustworthiness of data-driven solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines and ensuring the reliability of data systems used across business-critical operations. You will support both day-to-day data processing and long-term improvements to architecture and workflows.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries for data management, validation, and transformation
- Build, monitor, and optimize data pipelines using modern big data and cloud technologies
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across ingestion, processing, and delivery workflows
- Analyze data trends, detect anomalies, and troubleshoot production issues in real time
- Support implementation and configuration of data solutions across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark)
- Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to support testing, requirements, and production deployments
- Document processes, create SOPs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing across engineering teams
The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in data engineering, cloud platforms, and large-scale data processing, along with the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or related roles
- Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and data transformation techniques
- Hands-on experience with big data and cloud platforms (Databricks, AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark)
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using tools such as Airflow or Databricks Workflows
- Strong programming knowledge in Spark and Scala is a plus
- Solid understanding of data governance, quality assurance, and compliance practices
- Experience working with healthcare or large-scale transactional data is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally and with clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Competitive salary: $140,000–$165,000 base compensation
