This role is ideal for a service-oriented professional who enjoys helping patients navigate healthcare access with efficiency and empathy. You will manage appointment scheduling, referral coordination, and patient communication across multiple clinics within a centralized support model. Acting as a key connection point between patients, providers, and internal teams, you will help ensure a seamless care journey from first contact to appointment completion. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and confidence working across digital healthcare systems. You will contribute directly to improving patient access while supporting smooth clinic operations. This is a remote opportunity for candidates based in Georgia seeking meaningful work in a patient-centered environment.
- Schedule patient appointments across multiple clinics using established workflows, provider templates, and access protocols
- Coordinate referrals by reviewing documentation, verifying demographics, insurance information, and provider notes for completeness
- Communicate proactively with patients regarding appointment availability, cancellations, schedule changes, and missing documentation
- Process referrals and update records accurately across EMR and scheduling systems to ensure timely follow-up and status visibility
- Deliver professional, empathetic support to patients, families, and caregivers regarding appointments, insurance, and therapy-related questions
- Collaborate with authorization, verification, and clinic teams to resolve scheduling barriers and improve access outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation, monitor compliance issues, and escalate concerns when appropriate
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of experience in healthcare scheduling, patient access, medical administration, or customer service preferred
- Experience using EMR systems, scheduling platforms, and Microsoft Office tools strongly preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a patient-first mindset
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism when handling sensitive information
- Problem-solving mindset with adaptability and willingness to learn evolving workflows
- Must reside in Georgia to be eligible for this remote position
