Sr. Manager, Government Affairs & Political Strategy

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Manager, Government Affairs & Political Strategy in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of energy policy, political strategy, and operational execution, supporting efforts to accelerate the growth of clean energy finance and infrastructure. You will help translate high-level government affairs strategy into structured programs, communications, and stakeholder engagements that drive measurable policy impact. Operating in a fast-moving environment shaped by evolving legislation and regulatory dynamics, you will work closely with senior leadership and external stakeholders across government, industry, and coalition networks. The position requires strong political fluency, operational rigor, and the ability to move seamlessly between strategy development and hands-on execution. You will play a key role in strengthening advocacy systems, coordinating cross-functional policy work, and supporting high-visibility convenings in Washington and beyond. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who thrives at the center of policy, politics, and execution.

Accountabilities:
  • Build and manage the operational backbone of government affairs, including advocacy workflows, campaign coordination, engagement tracking, and reporting cadences
  • Design and execute policy convenings, salons, roundtables, and stakeholder programs in partnership with internal teams and external partners
  • Support day-to-day advocacy efforts including coalition coordination, Hill engagement, and bipartisan relationship building
  • Translate policy developments into actionable insights, communications, and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain policy communications outputs such as memos, talking points, presentations, and rapid-response content
  • Partner cross-functionally with Growth, Legal, Commercial, and leadership teams to ensure alignment on policy-related initiatives
  • Contribute to strategic planning by turning policy priorities into executable roadmaps with clear milestones and accountability structures
  • Support compliance-related coordination tied to lobbying and government affairs activities
Requirements:
  • 4–6+ years of experience in federal government, policy, political strategy, or government affairs roles
  • Strong background in energy policy, including familiarity with tax incentives, regulatory frameworks, and federal–state dynamics
  • Experience working in or around Congress, federal agencies, or senior political offices with exposure to executive-level operations
  • Proven ability to design and run operational systems in high-stakes policy or political environments
  • Excellent writing skills, with experience producing policy briefs, talking points, or communications under tight deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with comfort engaging bipartisan audiences and senior decision-makers
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with strong ownership and execution discipline
  • Interest or experience using modern AI tools to enhance policy analysis, content creation, or workflow efficiency
  • Based in Washington, DC or willing to relocate
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary ranging from $140,000 to $160,000 depending on experience
  • Performance-based annual bonus between $10,000 and $40,000
  • Equity participation in a high-growth company
  • Comprehensive health insurance with full employee premium coverage and partial dependent coverage
  • Fully covered dental and vision insurance for employees
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • 20 days of paid time off plus 10 company holidays
  • Parental leave: 16 weeks for birthing parents, 12 weeks for non-birthing parents
  • Flexible remote-first work environment with optional office hubs and team offsites.
