This is a senior-level project leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of high-end luxury hotel renovation projects across multiple properties. The position plays a critical role in ensuring that complex renovation initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards expected in luxury hospitality environments. Working closely with resort leadership and executive stakeholders, the Project Director coordinates architects, designers, consultants, and contractors while maintaining alignment with ownership objectives. This role requires strong operational discipline, construction expertise, and the ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously. It offers the opportunity to directly shape the transformation of premium resort experiences and contribute to long-term asset value and guest satisfaction.
- Lead the full lifecycle of luxury hotel renovation projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and final delivery.
- Develop and manage detailed project budgets, timelines, and reporting structures to ensure financial and operational control.
- Issue and evaluate RFPs for architects, designers, consultants, and contractors, ensuring alignment with project scope and quality expectations.
- Review bids, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor and contractor relationships throughout project execution.
- Oversee multiple concurrent renovation projects, ensuring coordination across disciplines and consultants.
- Monitor construction quality, identify issues, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented.
- Approve invoices, payment applications, and change orders in alignment with budget and contract requirements.
- Maintain strong communication with hotel operations teams to ensure minimal disruption and clear understanding of project activities.
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership and ownership regarding project status, risks, and key milestones.
- Ensure consistent alignment between project execution, brand standards, and luxury guest experience objectives.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 5–10+ years of progressive experience in project management, ideally within luxury hotel renovation or high-end hospitality construction.
- Strong technical expertise in managing large-scale renovation or construction projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and vendor negotiations effectively.
- Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with executive-level leadership.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams including architects, contractors, consultants, and operational staff.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and execution excellence.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25–30% as required.
- Willingness to relocate to the Cape Cod, MA area.
