About This Position

Quality Assurance Specialist – Full Time


About the Position: As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality and process consistency across manufacturing operations. This role supports quality assurance efforts through process audits, document control, quality inspections, training support, and analysis of product returns and quality issues. Quality Assurance Specialist serve as a first line of response for production quality concerns and work closely with production teams to identify defects, investigate root causes, and support corrective actions. The role requires strong attention to detail, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to collaborate across departments to maintain and improve quality standards.

The ideal candidate has experience working in an industrial environment, understands quality systems and auditing practices, and is comfortable supporting both shop floor operations and quality documentation processes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

· Conduct process audits and inspections to ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed and properly implemented.

· Monitor production for defects, inaccuracies, and non-conformities, documenting and reporting findings.

· Support document control processes, ensuring quality documentation, procedures, and alerts are accurate, complete, and legible.

· Investigate and analyze product returns and quality issues, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.

· Serve as the first line of response for production quality issues, investigating lower-severity NCRs and escalating critical issues to the Quality Director when necessary.

· Assist in developing and issuing quality alerts and training materials related to quality events or process improvements.

· Support onboarding and ongoing training related to quality standards, SOPs, and inspection requirements.

· Oversee and support Quality Inspectors, ensuring inspection procedures and quality expectations are consistently followed.

· Assist with root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.

· Support shop floor containment activities, including identifying affected units and establishing gate-check inspections when needed.

· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring production performance and recommending quality improvements.

· Ensure all SOPs, quality alerts, and documentation are properly communicated and understood by production teams.

· Work collaboratively with production and operations teams to support safe and effective work practices.

· Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, quality findings, and corrective actions.

· Be available to support operational needs, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.


Skills and Experience:

· Minimum 5 years of experience in quality roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

· Demonstrated experience and understanding of quality systems and quality assurance processes.

· Experience with internal auditing, inspection, training, or document control preferred.

· Industrial or production environment experience required.

· Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

· Attention to detail and ability to identify defects and process inconsistencies.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

· Demonstrated team-oriented mindset and continuous improvement focus.

· Ability to support and guide production teams in maintaining quality standards.
