About the role

As a Google Cloud Data Engineer at Premier Cloud, you will play a critical role in empowering our clients to leverage the full potential of GCP for their data initiatives. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data solutions that enable clients to gain valuable insights, make informed decisions, and drive innovation. You will work closely with clients, cloud architects, and developers to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet their specific needs and objectives.

Responsibilities

Architect and Design

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their data challenges and goals.
  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance data solutions on GCP.
  • Develop data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes using GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, etc.).
  • Optimize data architectures for cost-efficiency and performance.

Data Engineering

  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Work with cloud architects and developers to integrate data solutions into end-to-end client applications.

Client Success

  • Conduct client readiness assessments to leverage Google Cloud for data analysis.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients throughout project lifecycles.
  • Contribute to the development of internal best practices and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • GCP Expertise
  • Proven experience in designing, building, and deploying data solutions on GCP.
  • Data Warehousing and Pipelines: Strong expertise in SQL, data warehouse design, and data pipeline development.
  • Cloud Architecture: Understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data Engineering: 3+ years of experience in a data engineering role.
  • Looker: Experience with Looker or other data visualization tools.
  • AI/ML: Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and their application in data solutions.
  • GCP Certifications: Professional Data Engineer or other relevant GCP certifications.
