We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Inventory Controller / Wholesale Counter Person to manage automotive parts inventory while supporting wholesale customers. This dual-role position ensures accurate stock levels, efficient parts flow, and timely fulfillment of both internal service needs and external customer orders.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and accurately log incoming automotive parts and supplies
Organize and maintain parts inventory for easy access, proper labeling, and efficient storage
Monitor inventory levels and initiate reorders to prevent shortages or overstocking
Conduct cycle counts and full inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies
Issue parts to service technicians and track usage within inventory systems
Assist wholesale customers at the counter, by phone, and online with parts inquiries and orders
Process wholesale transactions, including order entry, invoicing, and payment handling
Build and maintain strong relationships with independent shops, fleets, and commercial accounts
Coordinate with vendors and purchasing teams to ensure timely delivery of parts
Pull, stage, and verify parts orders for wholesale delivery or pickup
Manage returns, core parts, and warranty items in compliance with company procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts department
Support service, sales, and wholesale operations by ensuring fast and accurate parts availability
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in automotive parts, inventory control, warehouse operations, or wholesale parts sales required.
Strong knowledge of automotive parts and components is a plus
Customer service experience, especially in a fast-paced parts environment, required
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Basic computer skills; experience with inventory or parts management systems preferred
Ability to lift and move automotive parts and supplies
Experience with dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds)
Understanding of OEM and aftermarket parts processes
Experience handling high-volume wholesale accounts
Forklift or material handling equipment experience (if applicable)
Work Environment
Automotive dealership or parts department
Fast-paced environment supporting both service operations and wholesale customers
Frequent standing, walking, and lifting required
