Warehouse Delivery Personnel - SRF in Yokosuka, Kanagawa at Coastal Pacific Food Distributors

Coastal Pacific Asia is looking for a Warehouse/Delivery Personnel for local deliveries to/from NEX and DeCA facilities on Yokosuka NB.

Full-time position.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Communicate receipt, conditions & quantity of products.
• Operator will ensure proper food handling procedures pre-delivery, active, and post-delivery.
• The work week will involve Monday Friday, 5 days of a week, 25-40 hours
• Overtime may be mandated according to business needs.
• Shift time may be adjusted in accordance with customer needs.
• The operator will be expected to perform, or assist with, any other business-related duties as directed by Manager.
• Oversee receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and transferring of products in a timely manner.
• Maintain records associated with the transfer and storage of products.
• Maintain designated areas of display and storage in a clean, orderly, safe, and secure condition; maintain correct temperature conditions for food storage and assure food service storage areas are in compliance with applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations.
• May be required to operate a variety of warehouse equipment including manual pallet jacks, and dollies.
• Occasionally assigned to maintaining input data and generate reports

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and two years of responsible warehouse experience involving receipt, storage, and issuance of supplies and/or equipment.

Experience:

• Valid Japanese Driver License and/or SOFA License

Knowledge Preferred

• Warehouse operations, procedures, equipment, and terminology.
• Methods of storing equipment, materials, food and supplies along with knowledge of inventory control
• Proper methods of loading and unloading of heavy items such as coolers and boxes.
• Proper lifting techniques.
• Operation of warehouse equipment including hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Health and safety regulations.
• Applicable laws, rules and regulations related to warehouse operations.
• Basic math.
• Operation of a computer and assigned software.
• Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
• Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary. Oral and written communication skills.

Skills and Abilities REQUIRED:

• Must be able to lift 60 pounds and the ability to sustain heavy lifting over the course of the shift.
• Must have good motor skills, spatial skills, and cognitive ability.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
