About This Position
Position Summary:
Under direction of the IT Manager and the Director of IT, support and maintain hardware, software, and network services such as personal computers, operating systems, software applications, printers, switches, cabling, Wi-Fi, phone systems, etc. Responsible for providing timely and professional response to help desk tickets and other user questions. Perform job duties and responsibilities in compliance with company policies and procedures. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to IT-related inquiries and provide timely resolutions.
- Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
- Monitor and maintain network security, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Assist in the management of IT assets, including inventory tracking.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
- Escalate issues to appropriate vendors and follows up with vendors to ensure complete resolution of issues.
- Provide ongoing training and direction to users to ensure established policies are followed and to ensure uniformity across the practice.
- Establish and maintain network user accounts, user environments, shared directories, and security as directed.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Constantly operates a computer and office equipment.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of basic computer hardware, network hardware, IP Networking, printers, etc.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Citrix, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, VMware, vCenter.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to type and work on a computer.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the IT field.
