SEALANT LABORER at IGS Industries – MEADOWLANDS, Pennsylvania

Position summary:

The purpose of laborer position is to manufacture product in an orderly and timely manner. The purpose of this position is to learn all areas in the Sealant Department to help as needed.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

• Read paperwork and blueprints to determine any special instructions and secondary operations.
• Ensure parts are adequately manufactured according to company and customer requirements.
• Ensure all operations are completed before moving to the next procedure or shipping.
• Complete work in a timely and efficient manner using a variety of machinery.
• Willingness and ability to help in all areas, as needed.

• Incumbent will be required to use a computer with keyboard, telephone, or handheld mobile device for extended periods of time, and office machinery as needed.
• Individual will be required to operate forklift, sitting forklift, and walking forklift.
• Incumbent must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Individual will be required to lift, push, pull, and carry up to fifty (100) pounds occasionally, and/or up to twenty (50) pounds frequently, and/or up to ten (10) pounds constantly.
• Work involves regular exposure to unpleasant elements, such as fumes, loud noises, and risk of electrical shock.
• Required to work in groups and individually as needed without conflict.
• Personal Protective Equipment is required. Example: safety glasses, gloves, steel toe or composite toe shoes.
• Incumbent must be able to read, see, hear, and speak.

Work Days and Shifts:

Position works Monday – Friday, daylight hours, and additional time as needed to complete work.

Education/Certification(s)/License(s) required:

High School Diploma or GED; and/or equivalent work experience.

Experience/Other required:

• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to become forklift certified through the Company.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
