Clinical Care Technician (CCT), Nursing Float Pool at RWJBarnabas Health – Elizabeth, New Jersey

Job Overview: As a Nursing Float Pool CCT, you will provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. Our team-oriented units provide a wide variety of medical/ surgical and diagnostic services to a diverse population of patients.

• Day Shift, 40 Hours per week
• Monday – Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required
• AHA BLS prior to start date required
• Completion of a nursing fundamentals course and/or Certified Nursing Assistant program preferred
• Previous experience as a Clinical Care Technician (CCT) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) preferred
• Med Surg, Telemetry, and/or acute clinical experience desired

Essential Functions: The Clinical Care Technician (CCT) provides direct patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The CCT will promote and implement, in conjunction with the RN, the concept of patient and family-centered care. The CCT observes and reports patient’s responses to intervention/treatment. They will greet and escort newly admitted patients, prepare patient environments for admission and/or transfer, and assure patients have appropriate identification bands on at all times. The CCT will also assist with feeding, bathing, and other duties associated with different patient care needs.
